Where is my closest FAIR PRICE store, what are trading hours and contact details?

Do I need my own transport for delivery to my home?

Not at all, we will take care of delivering your purchases safely and at a fee that is fair. Benefits of using the FAIR PRICE Delivery;

  • Furniture and appliances if not transported correctly can be damaged whilst in transit, leaving you out of pocket and with damaged products. FAIR PRICE together with its trained driver partner network takes away the risk and the hassle.
  • Hijacking and looting are unfortunate realities that we all face, with FAIR PRICE Delivery Partners you can rest assured that the risk will only pass onto you once the item is successfully delivered to you.

Can I order online and collect in-store?

Not at this stage, but watch this space for click and collect coming soon.

What payment options are available in store?

We have many easy payment options to choose from i.e. Cash, Debit Card, Credit Card, EFT, RCS and Layby.

Does FAIR PRICE offer in-store credit?

No, we do however accept RCS cards at all of our stores. We also offer an affordable, no risk no obligation Layby facility with a minimum of R50 deposit, 12 months to pay, 0 interest, 0 admin / cancellation fees.

Can I open a Laybye at 1 store and make payments at other stores?

Yes you may, however your final layby payment must be made at the store closest to your delivery address as the delivery fee will be calculated from that store to your address.

Can I place an order and pay at a store in the province where I work and have the item delivered to the province where I live?

Yes, provided the delivery address falls within the following provinces, Gauteng, North West, Free State, Mpumalanga, Limpopo

Why is my card payment not going through for online purchases?

Here are 4 quick tips to ensure a successful checkout.

  • Check that your card details on the payment screen match the actual card (Double check Name on Card, Card number, CVV number & Expiry Date).
  • Check that you are setup with your bank for Online Shopping (This can be done via the settings on your Banking App or contact your nearest bank).
  • Check that your online banking limit is enough to cover your purchase (This can be done via the settings on your Banking App or contact your nearest bank)
  • Check that you've received either an in-app notification that needs to be approved or an SMS containing an OTP (One Time Pin) sent from your bank to the cell number registered on your banking profile.

How does FAIR PRICE Layby work?

Laybys are currently offered only through our retail stores and will be made available online soon.

Opening a layby at any of our stores is quick and easy. All you need is your ID and a minimum of R10 deposit. You have up to 12 months to pay. You have the flexibility to choose when and how much to pay within the 12 month period.

Our laybys are interest free and there are no additional admin charges.

How do I see if an item is in or out of stock?

On the product page the stock availability is displayed either as 'in-stock' or 'out of stock' with our upstream supplier. This will show above your Suburb after selecting it.

What is a pre-order?

When an item runs out of stock, you are still able to pre-order it, simply by adding it to the cart and checking out as normal. Your order will be placed on backorder ensuring that the stock and original price is reserved.

When do I pay for my pre-order?

Pre-orders are paid for at check out

Can I mix normal orders with pre-orders?

Yes, you can check-out a cart consisting of a mix of pre-ordered items and in-stock items

How do I cancel a pre-order?

How long does it take for a pre-ordered item to be delivered?

Pre-ordered items take anything between 7 to 21 working days to be delivered

What will delivery cost me?

FAIR PRICE Driver center to provide a delivery fee rate card

How much do I need to spend to qualify for FREE DELIVERY?

R5000 or more

How long do deliveries normally take?

Where weather conditions are favorable and stock items are available and in stock, deliveries can take place within 2 working days.

How do I track my order for online and in-store purchases?

Can I choose my delivery date and time?

You can choose the Delivery Date but not the time. Delivery will take place 2 days post purchase and 21 days for Pre Order products.

Can FAIR PRICE deliver cross boarder?

We do not deliver outside of SA borders currently.

How do I change the delivery address once an order is already paid for?

Once an order is paid for and confirmed, changes to the delivery address will not be possible. The order would need to be cancelled and replaced with a new order. This will result in delays with your delivery.

How do I split my order so that items that are in-stock are delivered first?

To ensure delivery costs are kept to a minimum, we normally wait until all your items are in stock before delivering them to you all at once. Should the out of stock items not be available after the time frame provided we will gladly deliver the in-stock items. If you are unable to wait and would like to receive the in-stock items urgently click on the link below to request a split delivery.

PLEASE NOTE: FREE Delivery for purchases R5000 and more will be forfeited if a split delivery is requested.

Do you deliver over weekends and public holidays?

We deliver on Saturdays and on some public holidays

What is your delivery start and end times?

Delivery times are Mon to Fri 08:00 to 20:00. Sat 08:00 to 14:00

Will I have to sign for my package?

The driver will produce a proof of delivery which must be signed.

Can somebody else accept deliveries on my behalf?

Yes, provided the person is not a minor has your permission and is able to produce an original proof of purchase which contains the proof of delivery QR Code. Fair Price accepts no responsibility for any losses or damages caused as a result of a 3rd party accepting delivery on your behalf.

How do I identify that the delivery driver is in-fact from FAIR PRICE?

The Driver partner will have a FAIR PRICE branded tablet which contains your order information as well as a Proof of Delivery Sheet.

Do I need to produce my invoice to the driver at the time of delivery?

Yes on the invoice you will find a delivery QR code which must be presented to the driver ONLY after you have inspected the items for package tempering and visible signs of damage to the actual product. You have the right to reject the delivery if you are not completely satisfied.

Do I pay anything directly to the delivery driver?

No, as your delivery fee would’ve already been paid with your order.

The driver has since left and some or all of the items delivered are damaged, what do I do?

I live in a multi-story building; will the delivery partner help me take large items up to my home?

If the furniture item/s needs to be carried above ground floor level of which the maximum being 5 floors, you must liaise with the couriers to do so and sign proof of receipt/delivery prior to item/s being delivered to requested floor.

The courier will counter-sign as acceptance of the customer’s request to carry the items above ground floor. Fair Price and the couriers will not be held responsible for any damages or losses suffered.

Product Assembly

What does Assembled mean?

Some items depending on their size will be delivered to you either fully or partially assembled. To avoid damage whilst being transported some items like Lounge Suites, certain Appliances and some wardrobes, kitchen units and TV stands, do not have the legs and or handles attached. These can be attached very easily using a screwdriver.

Should you be unsure of how or where to attach the handles or legs, you’re welcome to complete the short form below and a consultant will be in contact with you shortly thereafter.

What does FREE Assembly mean?

Bigger furniture items like wardrobes and kitchen units are delivered in flat pack and in boxes. These items will need to be assembled by a trained furniture technician supplied by FAIR PRICE at no extra cost to you.

What does DIY mean?

Smaller furniture items like TV Stands and Pedestals are delivered in flat pack boxes and are very simple to assemble by your-self. Should you require any telephonic assistance with the assembly please click on the link below complete the form and we will have a consultant contact you shortly.
